How To: Make Elements Required

by | Apr 4, 2016 | Tips & Tricks

While creating courses you may need to make specific, or all, elements required to prevent users from skipping over important information.

How do I set an element as required?DigitalChalk: How To - Make Elements Required

    1. Go to the ‘Manage Courses’ tab.
    1. Click on the course title you would like to set required elements for.
    1. Select ‘Required Elements’ from the left sub-menu.
    1. Check, or uncheck, the boxes to the left of the element names. Checking the box will make it required.
  1. Click the ‘Save’ button.

*Helpful hint: If you do not have any elements set as required for your course the student only has to access the course once and then the course will be counted as complete, so it’s important to have at least a few elements marked as required.
