What is DigitalChalk?
DigitalChalk is an online learning system, focused on delivering engaging multimedia training. DigitalChalk is the first product of its kind to offer a fully integrated video lesson authoring studio that synchronizes video to slides, images and webpages through a browser interface. This patent pending technology let's our customers upload digital video or audio files into our Chalkboard Editor along with slides, HTML and images. The studio interface lets instructors insert the media, slides and chapter markers into a dynamic timeline to synchronize all the elements into a video training lesson. DigitalChalk takes the technical complexities out of building and publishing online video training by dynamically transforming the video into streaming Flash and the PowerPoint files into images that are easily displayed.
How is it delivered?
In addition to our multimedia lesson authoring capabilities, DigitalChalk offers an online Assessment Builder and a Certificate Builder. Instructors can publish a complete on-demand course in DigitalChalk that includes multimedia lessons, integrated assessments and a completion certificate. DigitalChalk packages these capabilities into an online learning delivery system that includes detailed student management, reporting and tracking. Courses can be delivered in either an on-demand fashion or in synchronous delivery to students.
Who uses DigitalChalk?
The DigitalChalk product is offered in a Software as a Service (SaaS) model to corporate clients and independent instructors. DigitalChalk has a unique business model, customers pay for student access to published courses, there is no charge for content authoring software, media storage or bandwidth. In a typical setting, customers can save between 70% and 90% of the cost of delivering customized training over conventional classroom methods. The target market for DigitalChalk is corporate training departments, University continuing education programs and independent instructors or subject matter experts (SMEs).

DigitalChalk offers a truly innovative approach to delivery for independent instructors and SMEs who want to publish courses online but lack the technical resources. Our e-commerce delivery option lets instructors publish courses for a fee and DigitalChalk handles all the payment collection and delivery of the courses online. This unique partnership with small independent content providers and instructors opens up the door for instructors to compete in a broader marketplace with their training resources.
